This workshop will be offered in the Spanish language and is for you if you have a business, or are thinking about starting a business, or have a new business. The Internal Revenue Service partners present record keeping, selecting the right type of business entity, expenses, office in the home, depreciation and basic forms. The workshop also includes a brief "Issues for New Businesses" section to introduce you to other federal regulations and information resources.

If you are an individual with a disability who is in need of a reader, amplifier, qualified sign language interpreter, or any other form of auxiliary aid or service to attend or participate in the workshop, please contact Taxpayer Assistance at 505-841-6626 at least two weeks prior to the workshop or as soon as possible.

Event Information: This workshop is for you if you have a brand new business, are thinking about starting a business or have an existing business. The New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department explains gross receipts tax, including how to file, taxable and nontaxable transactions and record keeping. The Internal Revenue Service presents record keeping, selecting the right type of business entity, expenses, office in the home, depreciation and basic forms. The workshop also includes a brief "Issues for New Businesses" section to introduce you to other state and federal regulations and information resources.
