IRS is partnering with the Nebraska Department of Agriculture by providing Pub. 225, Farmer’s Tax Guide, and Pub. 583, Starting a Business and Keeping Records, for the Youth Entrepreneur luncheon and workshops to educate young entrepreneurs to be farmers. There will be a luncheon speaker to tell how he became a farmer and the hard work put in. The luncheon and workshops are open to the public. Are you a presently enrolled student at Metropolitan Community College, University of Nebraska at Omaha or Creighton University studying entrepreneurship or tinkering around with an entrepreneurial or innovative idea? Or, do you attend a middle or high school in the Heartland area and have already caught the entrepreneurial bug? (“Heartland” being any middle or high school located in Douglas, Sarpy, Washington or Dodge counties in Nebraska.) If so, then you MUST attend the Heartland Student Entrepreneur Conference! It’s a free, all-day conference for up to 200 students. IRS is partnering with the sponsor by providing materials for the conference.
