This Start-Up Business Tax Workshop will concentrate on topics specific to help the entrepreneur who has never been in business and is looking for the basic first steps to get going in the right direction when it comes to important issues such as:

  • Applying for an Employer Identification Number (EIN)
  • Recordkeeping
  • Bookkeeping & Accounting
  • Selecting a form of business organization (sole proprietor, partnership, corporation, etc)

The entrepreneur will also learn the basics of calculating a net profit or loss for tax purposes as well as self-employment tax and making estimated tax payments. Pre-registration is required. There is a non-refundable $35 fee paid to Midlands Tech. This fee includes any materials or handouts provided in class. There is free parking at this location.
