1. IRS Announces Release of 2008 Redesigned Form 990 Instructions
The Internal Revenue Service has released the revised instructions that most tax-exempt organizations will need to fill out the redesigned Form 990, which must be filed starting with tax year 2008 (filed in 2009).
2. Updated Publication for Churches and Religious Organizations Issued
A new edition of Publication 1828, Tax Guide for Churches and Religious Organizations, is now available.
