There are three employment tax credits generally available to businesses that do business with or employ Native Americans:
- Empowerment Zone Employment Credit (section 1396);
- Indian Employment Credit (section 45A)-expired 12/31/11; Currently, the Indian Employment Credit has not been extended. There is a bill that Senator Reid introduced (S.1859) that includes among its provisions an extension of this credit through December 31, 2014.
