An Acknowledgment Notice is generated and mailed to the plan sponsor (employer) and, if applicable, to the power of attorney (Form 2848 - Power of Attorney and Declaration of Representative) or appointee (Form 8821 - Tax Information Authorization). This notice informs the plan sponsor (employer) and power of attorney/appointee that the case has been received in the Cincinnati Submission Processing Center.
