EP Determination Letter Resource Guide - Technical Screening

The Technical Screening Centers, also referred to as the Accelerated Processing Centers, are the first line of review to determine if the plan is qualified. These Centers are located in Cincinnati, OH; Atlanta, GA; Baltimore, MD; Brooklyn, NY; Chicago, IL; and El Monte, CA.

The technical screener's role is to review an application and determine if it can be closed based on the information submitted.  If so, the technical screener will issue a favorable determination letter.

Each case is subject to review by our Quality Assurance Staff.

Unresolved cases and cases with complex issues are assigned to an Employee Plans group for further processing.
