This topic described how to report other sources of income that VITA/TCE tax preparers may assist with, such as unemployment compensation and gambling.

Unemployment compensation is taxable and reported to the recipient either on Form 1099-G, for government payments, or on Form W-2, for employer's benefits. Forms 1040EZ, 1040A, or 1040 may be used to report this income.

Line 21 on Form 1040 is used to report other income, such as Jury Duty Pay, hobby income, cancelled debts, and gambling winnings. Line 13 on Form 1040A is also used to report Jury Duty Pay.
