On-Site Quality Review Program

The goal of the tax assistance program is to provide high-quality service. Every site must conduct quality reviews. Properly reviewed returns will help prevent taxpayers from receiving an error notice from the IRS.

  • Larger sites may have an experienced, designated quality reviewer

  • Small sites may allow the preparers to review each other’s work using Form 8158, Quality Review Sheet, or an approved alternative form

  • If no other reviewer is available, preparers should use the approved quality review sheet to review their own work

More Info

It is a good idea for preparers to review their own work using an approved quality review sheet, even if another person will review the return.
