Event Information: This workshop is for you if you have a brand new business, are thinking about starting a business, or have an existing business. The New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department explains gross receipts tax, including how to file, taxable and nontaxable transactions and record keeping. The Internal Revenue Service presents record keeping, selecting the right type of business entity, expenses, office in the home, depreciation and basic forms. The workshop also includes a brief "Issues for New Businesses" section to introduce you to other state and federal regulations and information resources.
