Event Information: The Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the South Carolina Department of Revenue (DOR), and the South Carolina Employment Security Commission (ESC) provide South Carolina’s taxpayers top quality service by helping them understand and meet their tax responsibilities and by applying the tax law with integrity and fairness to all. This workshop offers guidance on record keeping, types of business entities, Schedules C & SE and employment taxes. The employment tax segment provides an overview of Forms 940, 941 & 944, including e-file and EFTPS due dates. There is also a discussion on Employee Classification (Employee vs. Independent Contractor). The class is taught by instructors who are qualified to practice before the IRS (Certified Public Accountants and Enrolled Agents) and by South Carolina DOR and ESC Revenue Agents.
