Previous Updates:

March 26, 2010: Business Rules packages for 2009v4.1 are reposted to include all changes implemented through 03/28/2010.  The new business rules that are implemented on 03/28/2010 are: F1040-165, F1040-166 and F1040-167.  The change page has been moved to the prior updates section for historical reference.

March 23, 2010: Change Page #6 posted for business rules 2441-002, 2441-003, 2441-006 and new rule R0000-131. These changes were implemented in ATS and Production on 03/21/2010.

March 8, 2010: Change Page #5 posted. Business Rule 1040-164 implemented in Production on March 7, 2010.

February 26, 2010 Update:
Change page #4 posted: Includes 3 new business rules and a correction to Business Rule 2441-004. These will be implemented in ATS and Production on February 28, 2010.

February 16, 2010 Update:
Change page #3 has posted for Form 1040 2009v4.1.

• The business rules under heading 02/15/2010 are applicable in Production on 02/17/2010 (ATS date to be determined)
• The business rules under heading 02/01/2010 are available in ATS and Production on 02/10/2010
• The business rules under heading 01/05/2010 are available in ATS on 01/31/2010 and Production on 02/17/2010

February 10, 2010 Update:
Change page #2 has posted for Form 1040 2009v4.1. These business rules are applicable in ATS and Production on 02/10/2010.

The following rules were re-enabled in ATS on February 10th: F1040-059, F1040-063, F1040-071, F1040-082, F1040-120, F8863-007, R0000-672, SC-F1040-003, SD-F1040-001, F1040-155, F1040-156, F1040-089, and R0000-122.

Note: Rules F1040-155 and F1040-156 will be disabled again on 02/11/2010 and re-enabled when corrections are completed.

January 5, 2010 Update:
The 2009v4.1 1040 schema package includes a Form 2210 schema with an error that erroneously requires all checkboxes in Part II be checked. We are correcting the schema by eliminating the ReasonsForFilingForm2210Grp tag and changing all the Part II checkboxes (A through F) to be optional elements. See the "Diff" file in the schema package for details.

We will be enforcing the requirement to have at least one checkbox checked in Part II by a new Business Rule. We've also added new business rules to check for ampersand (&) and less-than sign in the Form 1040 and 4868 Filer name.  See the Change Page for details.
