  1. The Centralized Files and Scheduling section provides the instructions for transcription and verification of the Examination Classification Checksheet for Project 778, using the Integrated Submission and Remittance Processing (ISRP) System.

Specific Instructions for Entry of Data

  1. Though the input is set up as a three (3) - section document, most of the time, Section 01 will be the only one entered.

  2. All elements in Section 01 must be entered.

  3. All original entry will be 100% key verified.

Check Digit/Name Control

  1. Enter either the check digit or name control:

    1. Enter the two alpha characters appearing on the label next to the tax period in the Check Digit (CD) field. It will not be necessary to press the <ENTER> key.

    2. The system will fill the Name Control field with cent signs (¢) and position the cursor on the Type of Examination field.

  3. Name Control (NC)

    1. In all other cases, press <ENTER> for the Check Digit field. The system will fill the Check Digit field with cent signs (¢) and position the cursor on the Name Control field.

    2. Enter the four character name control edited on the label next to the tax period in the NC field. It will not be necessary to press <ENTER> if four characters are entered.

    3. If less than four characters, enter those shown and press <ENTER>.

    4. If the NC is missing or illegible, enter one period and press <ENTER>.

  4. Do not enter both a check digit and name control; however, if both are entered, the system will recognize only the check digit and convert the name control field to cent signs (¢).

(3) Format Code FCODE <ENTER> Enter the Format Code "103" always.

(2) Serial Number SER# <ENTER> Press <ENTER> if already present on the screen; otherwise, enter the two digit serial number from the upper right corner of Form 6754.
(3) Service Center Code SC <Enter> Enter the edited code from the top margin of Form 6754 or Form 1332. It is a Must Enter field for Document 00, and will be generated into the remaining documents.

Caution:

If the Service Center is not edited, see manager for current procedures. This field must have an entry that reflects the originating site to process properly.

(4) SSN (Social Security Number) SSN <ENTER> Enter the nine digit SSN from the label and press <ENTER> twice. Omit the dashes. If an asterisk (*) is present after the number, enter the nine digit SSN, press <ENTER> once, then enter the asterisk and press <ENTER> again.
(5) Tax Period TAXPR <ENTER> Enter the six digit tax period from the label in YYYYMM format.
(a) Enter all four digits of the year.
(6) Check Digit CD <ENTER> Enter the two digit Check Digit, if present, appearing on the label next to the tax period. If not present, press <ENTER>.

(7) Name Control NC <ENTER> If the check digit is not present, enter the name control.

(8) Type of Examination BOXB <ENTER> Enter the numeric digit (1–4) for the box checked from Block B.
(9) Special Inventory BOXC <ENTER> Enter the numeric digit (5–9) for the box checked from Block C.
(10) Priority Number BOXD <ENTER> Enter the one digit code (1–4) from Block D.
(11) POD Override BOXE <ENTER> Enter the two digits from Block E.
(12) ADP Hash Total BOXG <ENTER> Enter the seven characters from Block G (six numeric, 1 alpha).
(13) Issue Numbers ISSUE <ENTER> Enter all the 2 digit issues for Section 01 that have an "X" or check in the adjacent box.

Press <ENTER> only after the LAST issue entered.

If the error message FIELD OVERFLOW is received, press the <F9> followed by <ENTER>. Centralized Files will be alerted to the field overflow even with the 14th Issue No.
