The Small Business Program Office is available to meet with small, (8a), HUBZone small, small disadvantaged, women-owned small, veteran-owned small, and service disabled veteran-owned small businesses to discuss a company's capabilities statement, provide information on future procurement opportunities, and give advice on procurement questions. Individual appointments may be made by calling (202) 283-1350 or by sending an e-mail to AWSS.SBRO@IRS.GOV. It is requested that appointments be made at least one week in advance. Walk-in appointments are not available. All appointments are held at the IRS Oxon Hill, MD office at 6009 Oxon Hill Road, 7th Floor, Oxon Hill, MD, 20745.

The Department of the Treasury, Office of Small Business Programs, in conjunction with its bureau Small Business Specialists, sponsors a series of small business vendor outreach sessions (VOS). The purpose of these sessions is to provide the small business community the opportunity to meet with the bureau Small Business Specialists to discuss their capabilities and learn of potential procurement opportunities. VOS Sessions are held monthly at the US Mint, 801 - 9th Street, N.W., Washington, DC 20220. New: 8(a)/HUBZone/SDVOSB Expo, November 29, 2011. The Internal Revenue Service is hosting a HUBZone/8(a)/SDVOSB Small Business Expo targeting Information Technology products/services only. The purpose of the event is to bring together HUBZone, 8(a), and SDVOSB concerns to our customers managing information technology supplies/services, to display their marketing capabilities at vendor booths and speak with Program Offices on how they can help with upcoming acquisitions.  REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.  Firms not registered will not be allowed to participate.  Please see the Federal Business Opportunities website at www.FBO.gov for further details.

HUBZone Seminar Presentations November 2010 - A HUBZone training seminar was held on November 1, 2010 at the IRS Constellation Centre in Oxon Hill, MD.  The seminar provided Nineteen (19) HUBZone concerns with a variety of information, including how to market to the IRS; provided an overview of the IRS organizational structure; and (3) discussed subcontracting opportunities with two large IRS contractors.  The Seminar also provided the HUBZone concerns with the opportunity to present their company capabilities to Contracting Officers by presenting a 5 minute PowerPoint presentation during the Seminar.  Presentations have been posted for information only.

Small Business Showcase Presentations - 2009  - A Small Business Showcase was held for IRS IT Program Managers on March 23, 2009.  This first-time event was an opportunity for thirty-one (31) small business firms who were 8(a), SDVOSB, or HUBZone firms to spotlight their company and capabilities before an audience of IRS IT Program Managers.  Presentations from the small business concerns can be found by clicking the above link.  The event was successful and has resulted in two potential awards to two small business firms, one SDVOSB, and one HUBZone.  Presentations have been posted for information only.

New York, NY Vendor Outreach Event, April 16, 2009, Presentations - A Vendor Outreach Event and Training Session was held on April 16, 2009 in New York, NY at the New York area procurement office.  The event was held for New York area small business firms who were interested in doing business with the IRS New York field office.  Presentations from the event can be found below.  The event was successful and the IRS Small Business Office may host future events of this type.  No event is planned in the near future, however, information regarding future events of this type will be posted to the IRS Procurement Internet site.
