Online Payment Agreement (ASL) - 2013 YouTube video text script

Hi, I’m Patti, and I work for the IRS.

Paying your taxes in full and on time is best.

But what about if you can’t pay the full amount?

You can set up a payment plan to avoid unnecessary penalties and interest.

Here’s how.

If you owe $50,000 or less in individual income taxes, and you can pay the full amount within 72 months, you can request an Online Payment Agreement.

There’s no need to call or write because you can make the request online and find out immediately if your request is approved.

It’s easy, and your personal information is safe and secure.

You can even set up a direct debit account, which means there are no checks to mail and no missed payments that could lead to additional penalties.

To learn more, just go to IRS.gov and click “Tools”, then, “Online Payment Agreement”, and follow the three easy steps.
