            IRS COMMISSIONER'S ADVISORY GROUP TO MEET

     Washington -- The Internal Revenue Service Commissioner's Advisory Group
(CAG) will hold a meeting at the National Office; 1111 Constitution Avenue, N.W.;
Washington D.C.; on Tuesday, May 20.  The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. in Room
3313.
     The agenda, which is subject to change, includes the following topics:
     -- Various IRS Issue Updates;
     -- Reports by CAG Subgroups on Federal Tax Deposit Issues;
     -- Early Resolution of Appeals Issues; and
     -- Customer Service Initiatives (tax practitioner hotlines and potential uses and
benefits of automated and interactive systems).
