Dirty Dozen - February 2010 (ASL) - YouTube video text script
Hi, I’m Patrick, and I work for the IRS.
Have you fallen any of the Dirty Dozen?
We certainly hope not.
Every year, the IRS issues a list of common tax scams.
We call them the Dirty Dozen.
For example, unscrupulous tax preparers, maintaining off-shore bank accounts, or phishing, an email scam. You name it.
The IRS is taking action to regulate and help educate tax preparers.
But remember, you are ultimately responsible for what's on your tax return.
If it seems too good to be true, make sure you ask a reputable tax advisor or go to www.IRS.gov
