The Electronic-Grants Application will collect the following information about an organization applying for a grant:
Name, phone number, and valid email address of a representative for the organization, which will be the user entering the information.
The organization’s Employee Identification Number (EIN), legal name, and address.
Information about the organization as required by LITC and/or TCE forms in order to complete their application.
This information is being collected to properly administer the LITC and TCE Grant program.
The completed form will be reviewed by designated IRS Grant Program Office employees in order to make decisions about the awarding of grants to the organization that applied. This information will only be available to designated IRS employees.
By electing to fill out the applications for LITC and/or TCE online, the individual representatives of the applying organization are consenting to have the applying organization’s information, including the contact information of the individual completing the form, to be collected and reviewed by designated IRS Grant Program Office employees.
All online form information will be transmitted over an internet connection that follows the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol to prevent unauthorized and malicious viewing and use of the data. All data entered for the applying organization will be protected from the general public by storing it in a password protected repository. This repository will reside behind firewalls that will protect it from unauthorized access and use.
The only access point to the information entered by the organization, other than the organization representative’s logging in with their username and password over a secure connection, will be from the internal IRS network. Only approved members of IRS Grant Program Office will have usernames and passwords that will allow them to access the data repository.
The only information about an individual that will be stored is the organization representative’s contact information, which will consist of name, phone number and email address. This information is protected by the Privacy Act.
