Publication 510, Excise Taxes (Including Fuel Tax Credits and Refunds)
This publication covers the excise taxes for which you may be liable and which are reported on Form 720. It also covers fuel tax credits and refunds.
Form 720-CS, Carrier Summary Report
This form is used by bulk transport carriers to report monthly receipts and disbursements of all liquid products at a storage location designated by a facility control number (FCN). A liquid product is any liquid that is transported in or out of storage at a terminal or any other facility.
Form 720-TO, Terminal Operator Report
Use Form 720-TO if you are a terminal operator to report monthly receipts and disbursements of all liquid products to and from all approved terminals.
Form 720-X, Amended Quarterly Federal Excise Tax Return
Use Form 720X to make adjustments to liability reported on Forms 720 you have filed for previous quarters. Do not use Form 720X to make changes to claims made on Schedule C (Form 720), except for the section 4051(d) tire credit and section 6426 credits.
Form 8453-EX, Excise Tax Declaration for an IRS e-file Return
This form is used to authenticate an electronic excise tax return or request for refund, authorize an electronic return originator (ERO) or an intermediate service provider (ISP) to transmit via a third-party, and authorize an electronic funds withdrawal for payment of excise taxes owed.
Form 8879-EX, IRS e-file Signature Authorization for Forms 720, 2290, and 8849
This form is used by a taxpayer and an electronic return originator when the taxpayer wants to use a PIN to electronically sign their electronic excise tax return or request for refund.
