The Form 56 CUv1.0 schema and business rule packages have been posted to IRS.gov. The Form 56 have been packaged using a new versioning method. The form is packaged by Continuous Use (CUV1.0) versioning.

The Form 56 CUv1.0 schema was posted on August 2, 2011. These schemas and business rules will not be implemented in the MeF ATS or Production environments. We are continuing to make updates to the schemas and business rules for Tax Year 2011 changes.
Business Rules
The Form 56 CUv1.0 business rules were posted on August 2, 2011 in two (2) formats that contain identical information: Adobe (.pdf) and Comma Separated Values (.csv).
