The Form 56 (CUv4.0) schema and business rule packages have been posted to IRS.gov. The Form 56 have been packaged using a new versioning method. The form is packaged by Continuous Use (CUv3.0) versioning.
XML Schemas
The Form 56 (CUv4.0) schema was posted on December 14, 2011. The schema and business rules will be available for ATS on December 28, 2011. The schema and business rules will be available for Production in January 17, 2012.
The "Diff" Files in the schema package identify the changes.
Business Rules
The Form 56 (CUv4.0) business rules were posted on December 14, 2011 in two (2) formats that contain identical information: Adobe (.PDF) and Comma Separated Values (.csv).
