1120x TY2015v 4.0 Release Memo

December 04, 2015

MeF 1120/1120F/1120S Stakeholders:

We have posted Tax Year 2015 eXtensible Mark-up Language (XML) Schemas and Business Rules for the following forms that include new tax year form(s) and tax law changes.

Included in the 2015v4.0 Schema package are "DIFF" files which identify the difference between the 2015v3.0 Schema package and 2015v4.0 Schema package. The XML standardization was applied and are available for program planning purposes. These Schemas and Business Rules are valid for ATS and Production.

TY2015

  • 1120/1120F/1120S XML Schemas and Business Rules: TY2015v4.0
  • Forms and Attachment listing

These updates are posted on IRS.gov in the Production tables.

For XML Schemas, the Instance Document contained in the schema files is viewable with any generic Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (MIME) reader.  See the 1120 "Instances Document" for a sample of 1120 transmission.

Business Rules are posted in two different formats which contain identical information – Adobe (PDF) and a Comma Separated Values (CSV).  A column within the file identifies changes made from the previous version.

If you have any questions about the Schemas or Business Rules, please send your inquiry to the MeF Mailbox.
