Appeal a rejected Offer in Compromise (OIC) - Online Self-Help Tool (HC2)

If the IET Worksheet amount is less than the out of pocket health care standard amount, supporting documents include but are not limited to:

  • Social Security numbers for all family members,
  • Proof of children’s school enrollment or other documents demonstrating the number of family members you used to compute the out of pocket health care standard amount, and
  • Evidence to show that you are age 65 or older, particularly if IRS allowed an amount for a person under 65.

Remember, this allowable expense is for health care costs that extend beyond health insurance. The allowable expense for health insurance is on line 38 of page 4 of your Form 433-A

If the amount you claimed on line 39 of page 4 of your Form 433-A for "Out of Pocket Health Care Costs" is greater than the standard amount, supporting documents include your actual receipts for medical services, prescription drugs and medical supplies.
