1. Was there a change in the funds appropriated for the VITA Grant?

Yes. Congress appropriated $25 million to the VITA grant program, up from $18 million.

2. Are there any changes to the documents that are required to be submitted with the application?

Beginning this year, you will need to submit the budget information Form 13977, VITA Grant Program Budget Plan, with the application. If awarded a VITA grant, a detailed budget using the Budget tab in the VITA Grant Workbook must be submitted.

Form 13978, Proposed Operation VITA Grant ApplicationPDF, should include program operation estimates for the next filing season.

Form 14335, Contact Information for VITA and TCE Grant ProgramsPDF, should be submitted with the application.

Also beginning this year, submission of matching funds is not a requirement at the time of the application. However, if an award is granted, you must the submit the required dollar-for-dollar matching funds documentation with the award documents.
