IR-2016-105, Aug. 15, 2016 –– Louisiana storm victims will have until Jan. 17, 2017, to file certain individual and business tax returns and make certain tax payments, the IRS announced today. All workers assisting the relief activities who are affiliated with a recognized government or philanthropic organization also qualify for relief.

IR-2016-100, August 4, 2016 — The Internal Revenue Service today announced important changes to help taxpayers comply with revisions to the Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) program made under a new law. The changes require some taxpayers to renew their ITINs beginning in October.
