National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) Birmingham Chapter Monthly Meeting

NABA Birmingham Chapter holds monthly technical meetings. NABA, Inc. is the premier association for today’s accounting, finance and business professionals. NABA represents the interests of African-Americans and other professionals of color. IRS Senior Stakeholder Liaison, Nora Huffman, will present  how the Stakeholder Liaisons division operates; advantages of partnering with the IRS; an overview of 2014 tax law changes and practitioner key message updates. Registration and buffet will open at 11:00 a.m. Meeting will begin at 11:15 a.m. The cost is $15 for members and $20 for non-members.

Alabama May Practitioner Liaison Meeting

This is the annual May practitioner liaison meeting for Alabama practitioners/practitioner organizations and IRS management. Department of Labor Supervisor, Alycya Henderson will be the special guest presenter and will provide information from the Department of Labor's program "Getting It Right-Know Your Fiduciary Responsibilities."  In addition, the Alabama Department of Revenue, Taxpayer Advocate Service and IRS Stakeholder Liaison will provide program updates.
