OVERLAND PARK

Title: Kansas IRS Symposium

Event Information: The Kansas Tax Symposium is co-sponsored by the National Association of Tax Professionals – Kansas Chapter and the Internal Revenue Service. Representatives from the IRS will provide information to tax professionals on such topics as examination and collection issues, identity theft, tax law updates, the Taxpayer Advocate's office, and more. The symposium is designed in a way to encourage practitioners to address important tax topics and issues with IRS representatives first hand. Participants will receive up to 8 hours of continuing professional educations, CE for EAs, or legal education. There is a cost for this event that is being charged by the Kansas Chapter of NATP. Fees include refreshments, lunch and CPE hours. IRS is not charging for this event. Sign-in the day of the event will begin at 7:30 a.m. To register for the event you will need to either print off a registration form and mail it with your check to NATP or go online and register with a credit card. Event Information: This two-day program is intended for tax professionals and is designed to provide up-to-date training on current tax laws and regulations. The program stresses practical information to facilitate the filing of individual, small-business, and farm returns. The class will begin at 8:00 a.m. and adjourn at 4:30 p.m. each day; with registration and sign-in at 7:30 a.m. Lunch will be served on-site each day at 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. as well as a morning and afternoon break.

The fee is $250 for two days for early registration ($275 after deadline) and $200 for one day for early registration ($220 after deadline). Fee includes a noon meal and the Federal Tax Workbook. Deadline for saving on the fee is two weeks prior to the first day of class. There is no charge by the IRS for the event.
