Event Information: If you’re an employer and you don’t know if you are classifying your workers correctly, the IRS Voluntary Classification Settlement Program may be able to help. VCSP provides significant relief from federal payroll taxes for eligible employers who are treating their workers as independent contractors and now want to treat them as employees. The IRS is also waiving, until June 30, 2013, the requirement that employers file required Forms 1099 for workers they are seeking to reclassify through VCSP for the past three years.
