Event Information: The goal of the Tax Alliance Conference is to offer a blend of courses balanced between representation (controversy) and preparation of taxes
with a nexus to Federal taxation. This workshop will give participants an update on dealing with the various taxing authorities for either tax return preparation or controversy/representation. IRS employees are some of the featured speakers at the conference.

Event Information:
This is a great opportunity for the Service to educate practitioners about what actions the Internal Revenue Service is taking to combat Identity Theft and what actions CPAs should be taking after discovering their client had their identity stolen. Members of the TSCPA interact on a consistent basis with taxpayers and the Internal Revenue Service. They either prepare tax returns and/or represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. Participation in this event is in line with the IRS goals to work jointly with practitioners to enhance voluntary compliance. This event supports the IRS strategies of improving reporting and filing compliance and improving customer service.
