Houston Practitioner Liaison Meeting - Join the Conversation, Shape the Future
Be part of an energizing and collaborative dialogue between the IRS and the tax professional community! Join IRS Stakeholder Liaison for a Practitioner Liaison Meeting (PLM)-a solution-focused forum designed to strengthen the relationship between IRS and practitioners while addressing the real challenges you and your members face every day.
This engaging session brings together leaders from tax and payroll professional organizations across Houston and surrounding areas for a high-impact exchange of ideas, insights, and feedback.
What to Expect
The meeting kicks off with a filing season readiness, where practitioners can raise questions and concerns directly with IRS representatives. This sets the stage for an open, productive dialogue about:
- Barriers to taxpayer compliance
- IRS practices, policies, and procedures
- IRS communications-what's working and what's not
You'll also hear short, informative presentations from IRS business units on key federal tax topics. Your feedback is essential-systemic issues identified will be entered into the Issue Management Resolution System (IMRS) to ensure they are tracked, reviewed, and addressed.
Featured Highlights
- Tax Pro Account
- Practitioner Data Breach & Cyber Security
- Provisions of the One Big Beautiful Tax Act
- Executive Order 14247 - Discontinuation of Paper Checks
Why You Should Attend
- Have a seat at the table with IRS representatives
- Amplify the needs and experiences of your clients, colleagues, or association members
