2.4.14  Command Code NMFST

2.4.14.1  (01-01-2009)
Overview of Command Code NMFST

  1. Command Code NMFST will end up to 10 transactions to a tax module that has already been established on IDRS. Only adjustments, payments, credit transfers, and penalty and interest assessments are valid inputs. DAR transactions must be pended using CC FRM77 or FRM7A. NMFST may be input from Service Center terminals only.

  2. The prerequisite for CC NMFST is CC NMFST with definer F, and CC NMFSTF has TXMODA or NMFTM as its prerequisite. Therefore, the terminal operator must input CC TXMODA, CC NMFSTF and CC NMFST, or NMFTM, NMFSTF, NMFST in order.

  3. NMFSTF will display a format for inputting the necessary information to NMFST.

  4. Both the entity and specific tax module must be present on the file. If the tax module is not present, NMFST with definer F will return an error message.

  5. The transactions input via NMFST will be pended to the tax module. These transactions will not be updated to a posted status. A list will be produced showing the transactions input via NMFST. These transactions will also be shown on the Daily Transaction Register.
