Researching NAMEENAMEE searches for EINs using a nationwide file for taxpayer names and addresses.NAMEE analyzes the input name and address to select potential matches. It then displays the names, addresses, and TINs as they were filed on the last return.NAMEE will display multiple addresses for a taxpayer's name if they are on file. It checks taxpayer’s names that have spelling and phonetic similarities to the requested name.NAMEE is part of the Corporate Accounts Processing System (CAPS) using Name Search Facility (NSF). The third position down reads NAME with several spaces and then WHITE, OLIVE. The fourth position down it reads ADDRESS and below that it reads CITY with several spaces and SAN ANTONIO. The sixth position down reads STATE and below that ZIP with several spaces and 78284. The eighth and final position reads COUNTRY.Line 1: Taxpayer's name: Last, First, Middle or business name. The correct format is the last name followed by a comma and then the first name.Line 2: Taxpayer's complete street address is known. For a more complete search leave this line blank.Line 3: Full city name or two-character valid Major City Code.
