American Academy of Attorney – CPAs 

The American Association of Attorney-Certified Public Accountants (AAA-CPA) is the only association in the nation whose members are comprised of professionals dually qualified as both attorneys and certified public accountants. Founded in 1964, the AAA-CPA's purpose was to protect the rights of those dually qualified to practice as they see fit, be it law, accounting, or both. Today, the AAA-CPA not only continues to protect those rights but also guides members in understanding and observing the highest professional and ethical standards and provides legislative and regulatory influence on issues important to our members. The AAA-CPA also offers an array of products and services to help members succeed in their practice such as: networking and referral opportunities; national, chapter, and regional meetings; and continuing education credit.

American Bar Association (ABA) - Section of Taxation

The American Bar Association is the largest voluntary professional association in the world. The ABA is an association committed to doing what only a national association of attorneys can do: serving their members, improving the legal profession, eliminating bias and enhancing diversity, and advancing the rule of law throughout the United States and around the world. ABA’s mission is to serve equally their members, their profession and the public by defending liberty and delivering justice as the national representative of the legal profession. The Section of Taxation is one of 39 member groups under the ABA umbrella. The mission of the ABA Section of Taxation is to serve their members and the public by providing education about taxes and tax systems, and by providing leadership to support the development of an equitable, efficient and workable tax system.

American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)

A national, professional organization for all Certified Public Accountants. Its mission is to provide members with the resources, information, and leadership that enable them to provide valuable services in the highest professional manner to benefit the public as well as employers and clients.

Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting (ALPFA)

ALPFA is the leading professional association dedicated to enhancing opportunities for Latinos in the accounting, finance and related professions. ALPFA is a not-for-profit entity registered with the Internal Revenue Service. Membership is open to anyone who shares our values, mission, and principles.

Independent Payroll Providers Association (IPPA)

IPPA is a national association of privately held companies whose primary function is the preparation of payroll and payroll taxes for employers of all sizes. IPPA is a tremendous organization representing independently-owned payroll bureaus across the United States.

Latino Tax Professionals Association (LTPA)

The Latino Tax Professionals Association (LTPA), founded in 2007, is a professional association dedicated to excellence in the field of tax preparation and related services. LTPA was formed to serve Latino Professionals who work in all areas of tax practice. Members include individual practitioners, enrolled agents, certified public accountants, attorneys, and financial planners.

National Association of Black Accountants (NABA)

The mission of NABA, Inc. is to address the professional needs of its members and to build leaders that shape the future of the accounting and finance profession with an unfaltering commitment to inspire the same in their successors.

National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA)

NAEA is a professional society representing enrolled agents (EAs), which number some 40,000 nationwide. Its 11,000 members are licensed by the U.S. Department of the Treasury to represent taxpayers before all administrative levels of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), including examination, collection and appeals functions. Includes state affiliates.

National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP)

The National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP), founded in 1979, is a nonprofit professional association dedicated to excellence in taxation. NATP was formed to serve professionals who work in all areas of tax practice. Members include individual practitioners, enrolled agents, accountants, CPAs, attorneys, and financial planners. Includes state affiliates.

National Conference of CPA Practitioners (NCCPAP)

NCCPAP is an association of member firms in public practice owned 100% by CPAs.

National Payroll Reporting Consortium (NPRC)

The National Payroll Reporting Consortium is a non-profit trade association whose member organizations provide payroll processing and employment tax payment and filing services to over 1.4 million employers nationwide, covering over one-third of the private sector work force. The industry has long served an important role in our nation's tax collection system as a conduit between employers and government tax authorities, improving efficiency of tax collection as well as tax compliance.

National Society of Accountants (NSA)

The National Society of Accountants (NSA) is a targeted group of the decision makers in sole proprietor, small and mid-size accounting firms who provide auditing, accounting, tax preparation, financial and estate planning and management services to approximately 4 million individuals and business clients. Includes state affiliates.

National Society of Tax Professionals (NSTP)

The National Society of Tax Professionals (NSTP) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the Tax Professional. NSTP serves all areas of the tax profession, including certified public accountants, tax attorneys, enrolled agents, financial planners and professional tax practitioners/accountants. Includes state affiliates.

PayrollOrg (PAYO)

After more than 40 years of serving as the leader in payroll education, publications, and training, the American Payroll Association and the Global Payroll Management Institute (founded in 2015) combined to become PayrollOrg (PAYO). This change went into effect on May 2, 2023, to better represent our borderless global community of payroll leaders.
