2020-2021 Order Process Ends Friday, March 19, 2021

As we approach the end of the filing season, we will accept orders for the 2020 Form 1040 and Form 1040-SR, and the Instructions for Forms 1040 and 1040-SR through Friday, March 19, 2021. We will not process orders received after this date.

To place an order, please use your location's TFOP order form (Form 8635). If you experience a problem in completing or placing the order, email us at wi.tfop.administrator@irs.gov indicating which products and the number of copies you need. We will input the order. Please allow 10 business days for delivery.

Patrons can order free copies of IRS tax forms and Instructions online at IRS.gov/orderforms or by calling 800-829-3676 Patrons can also download forms at IRS.gov/forms.

TFOP Alert: Notice 1451 - Errata Sheet - Instructions for Instructions for Form 1040 and 1040-SR

Notice 1451 corrects an error found on the IRA Deduction Worksheet—Schedule 1, Line 19 in the 2020 Instructions for Forms 1040 and 1040-SR:

Line 3 of the worksheet should read "Enter the amount from Form 1040 or 1040-SR, line 9."

Please place Notice 1451 next to the Instructions for Forms 1040 and 1040-SR so that patrons can get a copy.

Full Carton Orders of the Form 1040 and Form 1040-SR Booklet

Full carton orders of the Form 1040 and Form 1040-SR booklet placed prior to December 15, 2020 are now shipping to TFOP partners. A full carton contains 380 booklets. The Spanish version also has begun to ship. This process can take approximately three weeks to complete. We estimate all other orders for the Form 1040 and Form 1040-SR booklet, including full carton orders placed on or after December 15, 2020, will begin to ship by February 3.

Currently, we do not have a ship date for Form 1040 Instructions.

Reorders

Please wait to receive your initial order of the tax product before requesting a reorder of the same product. We will delete reorders for the tax products not yet initially shipped to partners.

Use the TFOP order form, Form 8635, to request a reorder. You must first delete all previous order entries. After opening the order form, click the 'No' button (Is this your first order...? ), or click the Reset tab at the top of the order form, or simply use your delete key for each previous entry. Email the order form to pdf.orders@eforms.enterprise.irs.gov.

If you are unable to complete or submit the order form, reply to us at wi.tfop.administrator@irs.gov and indicate the tax product and the number of copies you need.

Please do not attempt to reorder Publication 1132, Reproducible Copies of Federal Tax Forms and Instructions. We will delete the reorder.

Tax Forms Outlet Program (TFOP) Partners

The 2020-2021 order cycle will begin later this month. We understand that many of you have and are still experiencing operational changes, including changes that can impact the quantity of Form 1040 packages and instruction books you will need to serve patrons during the next tax filing season.

Please contact us immediately if:

  • your location will remain closed
  • you place an order and later your location closes
  • have changes in the mailing address and/or contact person (name/email address) information

Please consider your location's operational status when placing your order. Currently, we anticipate tax products delivery to begin in mid-late January 2021.
