For Businesses, Corporations, Partnerships and Trusts who need information and/or help regarding their Business Returns or Business (BMF) Accounts. Services cover Employer Identification Numbers (EINs), 94x returns, 1041, 1065, 1120S, Excise Returns, Estate and Gift Returns, as well as issues related to Federal tax deposits.

The e-Help Desk supports:

  • e-file, Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS), e-services and Centralized Contractor Registration (CCR) TIN Verification.
  • e-services products which includes; on-line e-file application, Registration, Taxpayer
  • Excise Tax e-file and Compliance Program, Forms 720, 2290 and 8849
  • Acceptance  Agents
  • Identification Number (TIN) Matching, Disclosure Authorization (DA), Transcript Delivery Service (TDS) and Electronic Account Resolution (EAR).
  • Spanish speakers for all products.

Registered e-services Users supported by the e-help Desk include Electronic Return Originators (ERO), Enrolled Agents (EA), Software Developers, Reporting Agents (RA), Certified Public Accountants (CPA), Transmitters, Financial Institutions, State and Local Government.

Hours: M-F, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. your local time. (Alaska and Hawaii follow Pacific Time.) Puerto Rico taxpayers receive service from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time. 

Services:

Practitioner Priority Service is a toll-free account related service for all practitioners nationwide. It is the practitioners' first point of contact for assistance regarding their clients' account related issues. This service replaced the former Practitioner Hotline.

Tax Exempt and Government Entities (TEGE) (877-829-5500

Hours: M-F, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. taxpayer local time; Alaska & Hawaii follow Pacific Time

Services:

For questions regarding Employee Plans and Exempt Organizations determination applications; affirmations of tax exempt status; miscellaneous issues for Exempt Organizations, Employee Plans, and Government Entities; and account/notice inquiries. NOTE: Specific Employment Tax issues (Form 941 returns/notices) should be referred to 800-829-4933.
