Excessive compensation: Self-dealing

Excessive compensation paid by a private foundation to a disqualified person for performing personal services that are reasonable and necessary to carry out the exempt purpose of the foundation may be corrected by repaying to the foundation any excessive amount. Termination of the employment or independent contractor relationship is not required.
