Tax year 2026 Form 8849 Modernized e-File (MeF) providers

Providers listed on this webpage are approved IRS Modernized e-File (MeF) providers; however, they are not part of, nor do they have any special relationship with the Internal Revenue Service.

The following companies have passed the IRS Assurance Testing System (ATS) requirements for software developers of electronic Form 8849, excise tax returns for tax year 2026. Meeting the requirements means that the software can provide correct data in the proper format for processing by IRS’ systems. It does not mean that a software package includes every possible schedule or attachment, or that it will meet the needs of all filers. It is the filer's responsibility to contact the provider to determine if the software meets their needs.
