WASHINGTON — The Internal Revenue Service announced two additional in-person job fairs at Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico, on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 17 and 18, 2022, to offer on-the-spot bilingual (Spanish) customer service positions to qualified veterans and military spouses.

The in-person hiring events will be from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. on both days at the Santoni Armed Forces Reserve Center in building #315, Double Eagle Ave., Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico 00934. IRS managers and human resource specialists will be on-site to conduct interviews, answer questions and review and accept resumés.

"By the end of the year, we aim to add seven more IRS offices and approximately 1,500 employees in Puerto Rico," said IRS Commissioner Chuck Rettig. "This doubles the personnel there and nearly triples the number of offices. This expansion of IRS employees allows for a significant increase in bilingual services to taxpayers with limited English proficiency. We're excited and grateful for this partnership with Puerto Rico to work with its military families."

Veterans and military spouses should bring their resumé, VA determination letter and DD-214 or Schedule A letter for the potential to be qualified at the event. They'll also need two forms of identification and proper credentials to access the base.
