Primary taxpayers under the age of 16 who have never filed a tax return with the IRS cannot e-file using Free File Fillable Forms or any other do it yourself software product. Taxpayers under age 16 who have filed a return with IRS may e-file.
If the underage Primary Taxpayer on the return filed a return last year, enter the exact AGI of the underage Primary Taxpayer from last year's originally filed return.
- If last year's return, the underage Primary Taxpayer, was not processed by the early part of December last year, enter a zero into the AGI area
- If you do not know what last year's AGI, for the underage Primary Taxpayer, was, you may enter the PIN the underage Primary taxpayer used to sign last year's return
- If you do not know last year's AGI or last year's signature PIN for the underage Primary Taxpayer, get help here
