What are the IRS Nationwide Tax Forums?

Held each summer for over 30 years, the IRS Nationwide Tax Forums are the IRS's marquee outreach event to the tax professional community. Usually, the forums are scheduled to take place in five or six cities around the country each summer. For 2021, the IRS Nationwide Tax Forums will be held in a Virtual environment with a series of live-streamed webinars.

2021 Virtual Program Dates and Agenda

The 2021 Virtual Nationwide Tax Forum will begin on July 20 and continue through Aug. 19 with live-streamed webinars broadcast on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

The Nationwide Tax Forum will feature a keynote address from Commissioner Charles Rettig, a plenary session with tax law and publications updates, and multiple sessions on high-interest topics such as the new Advance Child Tax Credit, virtual currencies, the gig economy, tax professional ethics, advanced cybersecurity and more. Presentations are made by both IRS experts and partner associations.

This year the plenary session and an ethics webinar will be offered both in English and Spanish. Additional multilingual resources will be available for attendees in the Virtual Expo.

How Do I Register?

Registration for the 2021 Virtual IRS Nationwide Tax Forum is now underway.  Tax Professionals are encouraged to register early.  Registration enables attendees to participate in all of the live webinars earning up to 28 continuing education credits.

The IRS Nationwide Tax Forums Online (NTFO) provides courses based on taped seminars from previous IRS Nationwide Tax Forums. NTFO courses may be taken for either CPE credit or audit.
