Electronic Funds Withdrawal for individuals

Electronic Funds Withdrawal (EFW) is an integrated e-file/e-pay option offered when filing your federal taxes using tax preparation software or through a tax professional.

Form 1040-ES estimated tax

  • Current Year 2023 (Quarters due April 15, 2024, June 17, 2024, September 16, 2024 and January 15, 2025)

Up to 4 quarters (1 per quarter) may be submitted with a 1040 series return or extension (2350 or 4868), but not both. Example, if the June 15, 2020 quarter is submitted with the 4868, it should not be resubmitted with the 1040 even if the one submitted with the 4868 was cancelled.
