10th Annual 2026 Vetrepreneur Summit: Turning Service into Success - Beyond the Uniform

The 10th Annual Vetrepreneur Summit is presented by the City of Jacksonville Military Affairs and Veterans Department (MAVD) in collaboration with Florida State College at Jacksonville.

The free event is designed for current and future veteran business owners, including spouses, and focuses on supporting veterans in turning their military service and experience into entrepreneurial success. The event will celebrate a decade of empowering veteran entrepreneurs and building business legacies.

Attendees will have opportunities to hear success stories from veteran entrepreneurs, learn how to do business with government contractors, explore business funding and resources, and receive professional feedback on their business plans.

An IRS Stakeholder Liaison representative is invited to participate in the Summit by staffing an information booth. The IRS representative will provide general IRS information and educational resources relevant to veteran and small-business owners and will be available to engage with attendees regarding general tax-related questions and IRS resources.
IRS participation will provide an opportunity to educate veteran entrepreneurs and prospective business owners about federal tax responsibilities, IRS tools and resources, and information relevant to starting and operating a business. The event also provides the IRS with an opportunity to engage directly with the small-business community, promote IRS resources, and receive stakeholder feedback and questions that may help identify areas requiring additional education or outreach.
