IRS Tax Help for People With Disabilities (ASL) - YouTube video text script

Hi, I'm Patti, and I work for the IRS.

We have lots of accessible tax information online for people with disabilities.

Go to IRS.gov/accessible to find what you need.

Here, you can get tax information in many helpful formats.

We created tax products just for people who use assistive technology such as screen reading software, refreshable braille displays, and voice recognition software.

Our accessibility page is a gateway to tax information in accessible PDF, braille and text, HTML, and large print.

You can also find videos in American Sign Language (ASL), disability information for individuals, businesses and others.

You can even get information for veterans with disabilities.

Click the link for the IRS social media page.

You can learn more about the free IRS2Go mobile app, and our presence on Twitter and other social media platforms. We also have informative YouTube videos available in English, Spanish and ASL, with captions and audio.

When it's time to file your taxes, you may be able to get free, face-to-face help from an IRS-trained volunteer at a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance site near you.

If you are deaf, hard of hearing, late-deafened or deaf-blind, you can request a reasonable accommodation such as a sign language interpreter. Please allow time to process your request.

Go to IRS.gov/vita to learn what services may be available in your area.

Remember, all this information and more is always available at IRS.gov/accessible.
