IRS offers summer help for late filers

WASHINGTON — The Internal Revenue Service reminds taxpayers who missed the April deadline that help is still available.

Those who owe tax or need to file should do so as soon as possible to limit penalties and interest.

Taxpayers can access tools on IRS.gov to:

• File your taxes.
• Check refund status with Where’s My Refund?.
• Make a payment or set up a payment plan.
• Create an IRS Online Account to access account information including balance, payments, tax records and more.
