General Litigation 1 (GL-1) training materials teach Chief Counsel attorneys the basic skills needed to effectively handle non-bankruptcy general litigation work, including the law governing the federal tax collection process, and crosses over from GL-related material into other areas of Counsel's advisory and litigation work, including collection due process, innocent spouse, disclosure, and the proper use of summonses.  General Litigation 2 (GL-2) training materials are aimed at SB/SE attorneys who will be advising the Department of Justice in bankruptcy cases, but will be useful to other attorneys who need an understanding of how bankruptcy affects the assessment and collection of tax.
