When is Where's My Refund available?

System Availability

Where's My Refund? is available almost all the time. The system is unavailable every Monday from 12 a.m. (midnight) to 3 a.m. Eastern Time. Occasionally, the system may be unavailable on Sundays from 1 a.m. to 7 a.m.  Eastern Time.

Refund Trace Availability

The Refund Trace feature is unavailable during the following times (Eastern Time):

  • Sunday: 12 a.m. (midnight) to 7 p.m.
  • Monday: 12 a.m. (midnight) to 6 a.m.
  • Tuesday- Friday: 3:30 a.m. to 6 a.m.
  • Saturday: 3:30 a.m. to 6 a.m. and 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. (midnight)
