How can I get a copy of an organization's exemption application or annual information return from the IRS?
To request a copy of either the exemption application (including all supporting documents) or the annual information or tax return, submit Form 4506-A, Request for Public Inspection or Copy of Exempt Organization IRS Form (PDF). Mail the form to the applicable IRS office listed below:

DVD and paper copies
You may purchase copies of scanned Forms 990, 990-EZ for IRC section 501(c)(3) organizations, Form 990-T (IRC section 501(c)(3) organizations filed after August 17, 2006) and all 990-PF returns on DVD from the Ogden Submission Processing Center.
Viewing forms on IRS.gov
You may be able to view exempt organization forms free of charge on the IRS website.
Political organizations returns, including:
- Forms 990/990-EZ for section 527 (political) organizations,
- Form 8871, Political Organization Notice of Section 527 Status, and
- Form 8872, Political Organization Report of Contributions and Expenditures
Form 990-N (e-Postcard). Forms 990-N can be viewed individually or the entire database can be downloaded from the IRS website.

Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Publicly available data on electronically filed Forms 990 is available in a machine-readable format through Amazon Web Services (AWS). The data includes Form 990, Form 990-EZ and Form 990-PF and related schedules, with the exception of certain donor information, from 2011 to the present. There is no cost to obtain this data through AWS. Data from Form 990-N (e-postcard) used by certain smaller exempt organizations is not available with this data.
