Access free tax filing options if you qualify. File online with IRS Free File or use Free File Fillable Forms. Get free tax preparation at a local Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site or with AARP Foundation Tax Aide. Volunteers are IRS-certified. In person and online options available.

IRS app quick help

Yes. The name changed and new features have been added, but all previous services are still available. The app will update in the background if you have automatic updates enabled. If not, you can update the app manually in the Apple App Store or Google Play.

IRS2Go was created so you could check your refund status on your phone. The IRS app offers a broader mobile experience so you can view your balance, make payments, and more.

Download the official app in the Apple App Store and Google Play by using the links on this page. Do not download any apps from advertisements or unsolicited messages. The IRS never asks for personal information by text, email, or pop-up message.

Sign in to your Individual account with ID.me to use the new features in the IRS app. You will be taken to a secure browser tab and redirected back to the app after verifying your identity with ID.me.
