This day-long seminar will cover the basics of starting a small business, including determining whether your idea is feasible, creating a business plan, choosing a legal entity, forming financial projections, marketing, developing a web presence and bookkeeping. Guest presenters will include an attorney, a commercial banker and an accountant. Entrepreneurs will share their stories during a panel discussion with an opportunity for questions. This active learning module includes hands-on computer lab time. The instructors will be John Addessi and Jack Harwell. IRS is providing educational information and products for this class. The fee for this seminar is $75. Box lunch will be provided, and free parking is available.

This interactive workshop includes discussions on corporations, LLCs and other business entities and structures, independent contractors vs. employee questions, lease and other contract considerations, trademarks and protecting your name and business.
