SCORE - How to Start and Manage Your Own Business

Volunteers of the SCORE Association will conduct this one-day seminar which provides a practical review of what it takes to start your own business. You will learn about taxes, legal structures, developing a business plan, marketing, financing and financial planning, technology, and licenses. The IRS is providing educational materials for this workshop.

All SCORE seminars are $65 with prepaid registration; $75 at the door subject to availability (includes seminar materials). Veterans are $35 with prepaid registration and valid military ID.  Frontbonne students are free with student ID. Any fees charged by the sponsoring institution are exclusive of the Internal Revenue Service. There is no charge by the IRS for this event.

The First Steps to Starting a Business

This three-hour class provides a quick overview of the critical first steps needed to start a business and is designed specifically for those who are thinking about a new business venture. Participants will assess their strengths and weaknesses in terms of business ownership, and cover other topics listed below. The IRS is providing educational information and products for this class. The cost is $49 (scholarships available). Any fees charged by the sponsoring institution are exclusive of the Internal Revenue Service. There is no charge by the IRS for this event.
