If you are thinking about starting, buying or expanding your new business, Charting Your Course is a seminar that will take the confusion and guesswork out of your efforts and help you avoid costly mistakes or unnecessary steps.
What you will learn
A former business owner will walk you through the business planning process (including the financial section) and provide information on business entities and identifying your market niche. You’ll also receive in-depth information on compliance issues such as taxes, deductions and employees. A section of this important workshop is dedicated to various funding programs and incentives.
What you will receive
Access to the Small Business Development Center's one-on-one, no-cost consulting services. Building on what you've learned through this seminar, our staff of consultants and former business owners themselves - can provide additional guidance as you start or grow your business venture. Additionally, as your plans progress the Chamber's Business Development Services staff can help by connecting you with opportunities for further training. In partnership with Ohio's SBDCs and the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce, IRS Stakeholder Liaison is providing small business tax materials as part of the resources available to workshop participants free of charge.
The cost to attend this seminar is $10.00 a person, payment can be made online with credit card or check and at the door with cash. Reservations must be made in advance to attend this seminar. The seminars are held at the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce. Parking is available at any parking meter (rates vary).
